Peter Egyed is helping families improve their health through fitness and nutrition coaching as well as education to empower lifestyle changes.
Peter has always enjoyed building and began his adult life working in construction. He oversaw many residential projects and a few commercial projects building from the ground up. While pursuing an engineering and physics degree, Peter began utilizing fitness to help overcome personal addiction.
In 2007, Peter found the CrossFit program online and became an aspiring competitor in the early years of the CrossFit Games. At the age of 22, he opened his affiliate, CrossFit Fury, with a focus on creating an ‘effective beginners’ program. Now, after 10 years in business, Fury employs over a dozen coaches who train and lead hundreds of families to improved health.
Outside of time in the gym, Peter is passionate about strengthening his community through charity as an acting board member at two local nonprofit organizations: The West Valley Mavericks and The Wellspring Park Conservancy. The West Valley Mavericks Foundation collaborates to organize and host various annual events to advance charity, culture, community and commerce in the west Valley of Phoenix, Arizona. His other charity of choice, Wellspring Park – an empty two-mile-long strip of land adjacent to an urban freeway – is in its developmental stages. This private/public collaborative health corridor concept will become an inclusive park equally serving those who are fit, those who want to get fit, individuals trying to regain their health, and those with challenges.
Peter is married to his wife, Carren, and father to son, Arlo and twin daughters, Twyla and Inga. Peter enjoys welding and has fabricated steel equipment in his home, business and the local community.
