Join Southwest Ballet Theatre’s Barre Instructor Maggie Connor Hoody to try out a True Barre Fusion for FREE any Tuesday in February!

Maggie has danced professionally throughout the United States and Europe and has experience teaching Ballet, Jazz, Body Sculpting, and of course, Barre. She attained a B.A. in Dance and Nutrition at San Diego State University.

What is True Barre Fusion?

True barre fusion uses a combination of postures inspired by Ballet and other disciplines such as Yoga and Pilates. The barre is used as a prop to balance while doing exercises that focus on isometrics strength training. (holding your body still while you contract specific set of muscles) combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements.

Benefits of Barre include improve posture, create long lean muscles, more definition, lose weight, increase flexibility, body strength, and reduce stress. Barre is great for women at all fitness levels including pregnant women. Barre can help pregnant women with imbalance and gain stability.
