This month Fury is proud to announce the Hiler family as our Spotlight Athletes of the Month! Natalia (15), Ania (13), and Jacob (12) started coming to Fury fifteen months ago thanks to their Father. Friends talking about CrossFit intrigued Chris and he encouraged his family to sign up. Since joining the Fury community the Hilers have bonded more as a family after enduring the workouts together. The Hiler children are very involved in sports and CrossFit has not just improved their strength but also has contributed to being selected for teams. Jacob plays soccer and football. Ania digs the balls on the volleyball court and her older sister Natalia runs track and plays sand volleyball. Chris has stated that he is “humbled and grateful to the staff and all of CrossFitters who have been encouraging and supportive of the kids.”
When asked some questions regarding their time at Fury these were their responses.
What has impacted you the most during your time at Fury?
Jacob: Having all the trainers be supportive and helping us always.
Ania: My Dad’s drive to make me stronger and more athletic.
Natalia: Everyone I meet has been very accepting and kind. I feel comfortable asking for help and advice while I am there.
Chris: How good it feels just to finish.
Other comments you want to share with current or potential members?
Jacob: CrossFit will change your life. I know it’s hard sometimes but you just got to power through it and once it’s done it’s one of the best feelings to know you completed it.
Natalia: CrossFit is the best thing that I have ever done. I have been involved in many different club sports, but none have ever gotten me as excited as when I go to CrossFit. I can say that I thoroughly enjoy the competitive and tough atmosphere every time I go.
Chris: The best thing about CrossFit is that I can workout with my kids. I am so proud of them. It’s great to see them improve and grow stronger. Also, I am humbled and grateful to the staff and all the CrossFitters who have been encouraging and supportive of my kids.
Great work Hiler family! Keep up the drive and commitment to a healthy lifestyle.
