The uses of Crossfit go beyond the walls of our box.  It is being used for sport specific training, injury rehab and wellness maintenance for the elderly.  Crossfit Kids also has uses beyond the gym.  In this article, published in the Crossfit Journal, you can find an explanation of yet another use for the Crossfit methodology:  therapy for children with special needs.  As an occupational therapist, I have been applying some of the concepts of Crossfit to the work I do with disabled kids on a regular basis.  This article is an explanation of how that works.

If you don’t have a subscription to the Crossfit Journal, GET ONE!  It is a great tool for learning how to do all those things you struggle with, and they have a lot of interesting videos and articles.  You will need to log in to read the full article, but hopefully you find it to be informative.
