Furious 6 Wrap-Up

Athletes had to complete a run and hammer task in the first surprise of the day.

Athletes had to complete a run and hammer task in the first surprise of the day.

What a successful day!  Everyone laid everything on the line and fought their way through 4 difficult workouts (including a surprise run to kick off the day).  Teams worked through workouts that tested different time domains and rewarded teams with strength, conditioning and strategy.  We saw impressive performance all day long:  including PRs on OHS and first ever HSPU from the floor and bar muscle ups as well as amazing scores on the 3 different workouts.

The top 8 teams moved on to a winner-take-all finale for max bar muscle-ups while the other partner held a threshold on the rower (1400/2000 cal/hour).  The final heats were intense and there were some surprise changes in standings.  The final winners were Amy and Leslie of 480 in the women’s division; Brian and Katie Kunitzer of Magna in the Co-ed;  and Danny Nichols and Moses Cordova from OPT in the men’s division.

Most importantly we need to say thank you to all of the volunteers and judges.  They all gave up an amazing amount of time and effort throughout a long day.  Without them we couldn’t have pulled it off.

Listed below are the final results for all three divisions.  Thanks to all of the athletes for giving it your all and making Furious 6 an even bigger success than the previous 5.
