It has been a rough first week back for some of us. Holiday eating, days without WoDs and loss of focus. But it is time to get back into the swing of things. The kids have certainly started off strong this week. We had some great turn out and strong performances by all of the kids this week. They are learning just how hard they can push themselves. They have been working on learning all of the different movements we do in Crossfit, but are now ready to start establishing more efficiency and including in their workouts movements like medicine ball cleans, light deadlifts and kettlebell swings.
The kids, like the adults, are going to get a chance this week to set some goals. We asked them to think about what they want to get out of Crossfit Fury Kids. Some may want to be faster, stronger, climb a rope, run a 5k or maybe make it onto a team at school. Whatever it is, we will work on including their goals in our planning and making them the most fit and athletic kids possible.
Think about your goals for this year. Do you want to be able to jump higher, lift more or get that sub 6 Fran? Set those goals and work toward them all year. Just don’t let the kids pass you by as they get more fit.
