Truth Serum
I have always felt that you can know alot about a person based upon their performances in a CrossFit Workout. I am talking about their determination, drive and desire to finish the workout to the best of their abilities regardless of their level. Here is a new idea from CrossFit Watertown using CrossFit as a truth serum. Check it out!
So today concludes our first cycle of new programming, any thoughts? Remember tomorrow is a pretty serious rest day with the gym only being open from 3pm to 6pm open gym style. Our Thursday schedule may vary slightly from week to week but we will keep you updated. Also note that Sundays hours will now officially finally be 9am to 11am, for now…
Paleo Challenge! We had a few last minute sign ups today which is great! Also there are a few people who have not yet paid, no worries just keep logging and get us your ante as soon as possible. Also just to put a little more pressure on things the gym will throw something cool in for the winners… but its a secret.
Paleo Ideas! Have you tried collard greens? We just did (like 5 minutes ago) and not too shabby. Here is the recipe we followed (note they do use butter but I figure if its Kerrygold its practically Paleo). Also note the suggested quantity… we purchased two bunches and it turned out to be almost enough for the cat…
Check out our very own Josh representing Fury at CrossFit Brand X this past weekend getting his CrossFit Kids Cert. Also featured is Conner Martin a Games competitor who competed with me back in 2007 and Todd one of HQ’s top trainers. The workout is AMRAP 10 minutes of 160lb thrusters, muscle ups and double unders!

Great 1st cycle. The energy in the gym has been insane. There’s no doubt people will be hitting pr’s all over the place, getting stronger, and looking better in no time. This is why I come to CFF!

I like the new style……you can get your Oly on and Met-con….it’s great!
I like the new Elissa…. attends three days in a row and she works hard… its great!
I can feel my body adjusting to the diet changes, looking forward to regaining some energy. Love the new format, love the energy in the gym.
I like the increased running and particularly last night’s warm up…20 wall balls, pullups and box jumps in a row or a consequence. Nothing like adding more reps to light a fire under your ass and get you to hang on to the bar. Those are good times to practice what CF Watertown suggests…telling the negative voices to shut the hell up and keep going.
havent felt much different due to diet (am i doing something wrong… hmmm). feels good to be going hard often. i like everyday having something that is really tough. sucks, but worth it when it’s over. this is what i missed… time to bring back super athletes. how about slightly longer classes? what about having 2 hard but shorter metcon workouts in 1 class? (or not shorter!) 2 x AMRAP in 20 min. workouts in one class? looking forward to the weeks to come! bring it.
how about we have a class just for Lisa & Dani!
