Progress Times Two
Meet Doug and Dave. These two brothers began their membership on June 15th after attending the On-Ramp program twice. We hold the right to request an individual to retake the course at a discounted rate if we feel they are not ready for class. This option provides a much smoother entrance to our classes for those who need just a little more attention. KEEP KICKING ASS GUYS!

So they started CrossFit roughly a month ago with barely the ability to do a set of more than 5 or 6 pushups at time. Today Dave knocked out a couple sets of 3 pullups and Doug was able to get his first pullup ever! They both earned a smiley face(no use of racks, cleaned every set from the ground) on todays front squats. They both reached 135lbs and Doug hit all 5 sets at 135!! Like I said in class today, these two fellas prove that ANYONE CAN DO CROSSFIT AND HAVE TREMENDOUS SUCCESS! By the way, on their membership applications their reasons for joining were to “stop being fat” and to “lose the beer gut!”

Just about everyone of our “Founding Members” have been immortalized forever in our lobby. We are doing our best to decorate it and make it feel welcoming… Today I had a collage poster created from all the photos ever used in a post. If you have any suggestions or tips on decorating let us know!

Hey I need to put a missing persons out on James S. I have a feeling he may of fallen off of the zone wagon and is afraid to come in with the donut powder on his face… Lets see if we can get an update on his status.

Doug & Dave congrats on ur kick ass dedication!!!! Hope ur inner strength rubs off on some of the fellow brahda’s & sista’s (Dave B., Steph, “D”, and Elissa).
Cant wait to get back in the gym, have been doing sum Humanitarian work down in South American. Will be back this Thursday.
PS I’m still on the “Zone” wagon, just a flat tire on Father’s Day.

Don’t apologize Peter, when James says South “American”… I believe he is referring to south Avondale. And frankly James… my feelings are hurt, I look up to you as my Crossfit “brahda”!!

Been working a ton and trying to finish up summer 1. After school & work aren’t so crazy I’m going to Zone it in. Haven’t watched my nutrition since I started crossfit. Vince has inspired me =)
James…nice try!! Olivia said she seen you eating a Carl’s Jr burger as if you were doing a commercial for them! P.S. A diet coke doesn’t count!!! And Peter I can’t believe you fell for James…he’s a jiver!!!
I see how it is… James knew my only soft spot and used it so he could eat a 5 dollar burger and do some bicep curls! We will see whats up when he shows his face again.
BTW I know of like 10 people at least who have either gotten their first pullups or made P.R.’s on their pullups in june (*COUGH* 6a.m. class! *COUGH*) Be proud and share it!
Got my pr in pullups this am. A set of 10 and then a set of 11.

WOO motha lovin HOOO! I finally did it the sweat, blood and tears finally paid off:)I did my first pull up on Friday and completed the Sunday workout doing pull ups! (fist pump uh uh) “CrossFit is for real!” TM that shit.
25 Pull ups was my PR now I am up to 36 with a horrible kip. Pure Crossfit power got me through it.
Got to 29 pull-ups today, a new PR by 4. Thanks, guys!
