Hand Pump
There are only two sports that I know of that openly discuss “hand pump” (you know tight, swollen forearms, weak painful grip) one is Motocross, the other CrossFit. Funny, after I write this I see an ironic similarity between the names of these two sports.
This now leads me off course to a new topic: Who considers themselves an athlete that participate and compete in a sport?
If you…
-plan your eating around performance and health
-do your best to get enough rest
-train with the utmost intensity day in and day out
-you track your performances
Then there is not an doubt in my mind that we are all athletes competing in a sport!
If your still questioning it, are you doing those four things mentioned above? If not or if you are still not feeling it maybe we should talk, I know a few good life coaches…

I would like to reply to a comment from a post a few days ago regarding gloves and CrossFit.
I don’t know when or why exactly gloves became so tabeau in CrossFit, but they are. Something about having to rely on some item to finish a workout erks me. I mean what are you gonna do when you dont have them? They do interfere with your grip on the bar and that could be dangerous when dealing with KBS. With gloves you are slightly disconnected from the workout, think about how much you miss not having that cold, bloody steel in your hands (right James?).
Most of all they look super dorky and not looking dorky in CrossFit goes a VERY long way!

LOL…amen to NO GLOVES!!!! I mean…I complain all the time about my hands but I will NEVER wear gloves hahaha
