1 Day To Go
I would like to take a moment and recognize four wonderful ladies who have recently joined and are kicking ass CONSISTENTLY! We see you girls, keep up the great work! Above is a picture of Laurie rocking some weighted pushups, I can count the number of days she has missed on one hand since November 1st!

COMPETITION UPDATE:
Can anyone think of a name for this thing? I don’t like anything that I have come up with yet… Also If you do not have a beyond the whiteboard account get one now! We will be using this online resource to track our workouts and daily food logs. I believe the food logs will be available tomorrow on their website.
The competition scoring will be based 40% on not missing a workout, 40% nutrition logging for 3 out of 4 days, and 20% on who increases their 400m time the most. Don’t sweat the 400m, my theory is whoever puts their all into not missing days and logging their food will win hands down.
A few exceptions… Hose draggers and the like, you do not have to do the WOD at our gym, so we will take your word for it, just be sure to log it on BTW. You Monday through Friday folk, just keep attending and it still counts.
Nutrition: We never really said what to eat…just log it. Im hoping that as you think more about it and hopefully prepair your days meals in advance, you will make a shift to the right types of foods. Just give us a brief synopsis of how your day went. aka breakfast-3 eggs and 1 orange, lunch-chicken salad w/ avocado…. you get the idea. If you killing some Micky D’s and Goldan Coral, log it. Check out our nutrition links for more info or talk to us personally.

This will also give us a great chance to collaborate recipes. We recently made Brian’s Phenomenal Chicken and the name barely does it justice!

I couldn’t wait and have started to log my nutrition on BTW. The site redesign is awesome. Posting meals is fairly simple (it would be a lot easier if I was a Zoner). As a tip for my fellow non-Zoners, 7 grams of protein = 1 block, 9 grams of carbs = 1 block, and 3 grams of fat = 1 block. So when you’re trying to figure out how many blocks something is just take total grams of protein, carbs, or fat and divide it by the appropriate number of grams needed to make 1 block. This will give you total blocks (hopefully that’s a tip and didn’t just confuse everyone).
As for a name for this competition, the only thing I can think of is the Furious Nutrition and Attendance Challenge, which can nicely be shortened to the F’N A Challenge.
Good luck everybody.
I totally agree!!! The site is sick!!!
I was trying to think of some witty Sh*@ to name the challenge, but F’N A Challenge rocks.
Laurie!!! You kick ass!!
You know F’ed up when it’s Tuesday night and you’re clickin refresh on your browser repeatedly and up it comes.. Wednesday: Rest Day.
I made the salsa meatloaf recipe from Leah yesterday – it was great, and we ate it all in one night… not sure if we over did it on the blocks there!
BTW.com is fabulous – the redesign makes it much easier to find stuff. If you are new to the site, i recommend spending some time clicking on anything blue as there are different stats and charts and stuff hidden away – for example you can see how Pete manages to rank in the top 10 across the nation on practically every WOD
Also, I discovered some Tomato/Basil soup at Fresh and Easy today that has really low carbs and high fat and no “fake” ingredients. One serving is 1 block of carbs, half a block of protein and 4 blocks of fat. AND it tastes AMAZING!
I also made the salsa meatloaf and love it!!!
Is it bad if I made Leah’s meatloaf and Brian’s chicken and ate all of it at one sitting?
If you’re making all that food, where’s my share? I know mom taught you to take care of your younger, little brother.
